Hello and Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my first blog post!

We have some exciting updates to share with you! As I write this, Natasha and I are finishing up the final illustrations for With you, There is a Light. When that story is complete, we will only have two stories remaining for final illustration work. Concurrently, we are preparing a test print of the book, which includes seven of the completed illustrated stories.

So, what stories will the book contain? Of course, there is the eponymous Old Grandmother’s Tree, the second story in the book. The opening story, With you, There is a Light, begins in mid-17th century Québec. A sneak peak at that story’s first chapter is available right now when you subscribe to our mailing list on the website!

The final book will include ten stories in total. One takes place at the beginning of time, two are set in 17th century Québec, six stories set in early 20th century Québec, and one taking place in mid-21st century, also in Quebec. The second to last story in the book, Mont-Orford, is actually set in the near future.

The last story, The Dance of Creation, is a deep prequel going back to the creation of the universe. You can’t get more prequel than that! Incidentally, if you join our mailing list on the website, you can also access The Dance of Creation right now for free, in advance of the book’s publication. While I think that all of Natasha’s illustrations in Old Grandmother’s Tree are great, I think you will be especially delighted with the brilliant, 3-dimensional quality of her illustrations for The Dance of Creation.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates to come! I will save the rest to share with you in a future blog post.
